Liam S. Gogan was commissioned in 1950 by the Irish Texts Society to produce a supplement to Dinneen’s Irish English Dictionary. This site was created not only as an Irish English translator but as a tribute to Gogan and includes details of his life and times. The feature and focus of the site is the dictionary with hand written slips, images of which are compiled in a database for viewing. Users may browse or search for Irish translations by inputting words in the search box. There is a full Irish language version of the website that can be toggled from the top right corner of any page. The site also allows for user feedback to improve the extent and accuracy of translations.
